Terms & conditions
Last updated: 30 September 2026
These terms govern your use of the Accounts & Business Services website. By using the site you accept them. They are website terms only — work we do for clients is governed separately by our signed engagement letter, which prevails in any conflict.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by Accounts & Business Services Ltd, registered in England and Wales
(company number 12345678), with its registered office at
12 Sadler Gate, Cathedral Quarter
Derby DE1 3NB
United Kingdom.
2. Permitted use
- You may view, download and print pages for your personal or internal business use;
- You must not republish, sell or systematically extract site content without written permission;
- You must not introduce malware, attempt unauthorised access, scrape the site disruptively, or use the contact facilities for spam or unlawful purposes;
- You must not present yourself as associated with the practice without our consent.
3. Information, not advice
Content on this site — including articles, guides, pricing indications and FAQ answers — is provided for general information only. It does not constitute accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and it may not reflect the latest changes in law or practice. Always take advice on your specific circumstances before acting; nothing on this site creates an accountant–client relationship.
4. Availability
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Accounts & Business Services Ltd excludes liability for any loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, this site or reliance on its content — including indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit or data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
6. Third-party links and content
The site links to third-party sites (for example HMRC and mapping services) for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for their content or policies.
7. Intellectual property
The site design, text, graphics, logos and photography selections are the property of Accounts & Business Services Ltd or used with permission (stock photography is licensed for website use — see the credits noted in the site repository). You may not use our name or logo without written consent.
8. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, contact us first — see the contact page. Complaints about our services are handled under the procedure in our engagement letter, and you may have a right to refer a complaint to our professional body.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
