QuickBooks Online · Derby & UK-wide
Migration, setup and training by a chartered certified accountant — every balance reconciled before you rely on it, and a fixed fee agreed before any work starts.
Where you're coming from
Desktop files, other cloud packages or a folder of spreadsheets — each gets a migration plan written for it, not a generic import.
What comes across
A raw import moves data. A proper migration proves it arrived intact: trial balance, debtors, creditors and VAT agreed to your old system before switch-over day.
Your old file stays archived as a permanent, read-only record.
How it works
Thirty minutes on screen-share: what you use now, what's messy and what you need QuickBooks to do.
A fixed fee, a target switch-over date and exactly what will move — agreed before anything starts.
Chart of accounts, VAT and bank feeds set up, then your data moved in a rehearsed, tested import.
Every balance agreed to your old system. You see the proof before we switch over.
Hands-on training for you and your team, a one-page cheat sheet, and 30 days of questions answered free.
After the move
Once your books are clean, put them to work. I set up QuickBooks so invoices chase themselves and you always know who owes what.
Polite, personalised reminders sent before and after due dates — on a schedule that suits each customer.
Card and bank payment links on every invoice, so customers can settle in a couple of clicks.
Retainers, rent and subscriptions billed automatically on the same day every month.
Customer statements sent automatically, so nothing outstanding gets quietly forgotten.
Bank feeds and matching rules configured so most transactions categorise themselves.
A monthly look at who's paying late and why — with a plan for the stubborn ones.

Common questions
No. We agree up front what moves in full and what moves as summaries, then reconcile every balance against your old system before switch-over. Your old file is archived as a read-only record you can always go back to.
No. Switch-over is planned for a clean cut-off date — usually a month or quarter end — and you keep working in your old system until then.
Most small businesses are live within one to three weeks. Larger files, multi-currency or several years of history can take longer; you'll get a target date in your written plan.
That's part of the free review. Many small businesses overpay for features they never use — I'll recommend the plan that fits how you actually trade, and whether payroll belongs inside it.
Yes. VAT codes, your scheme (standard, flat-rate or cash accounting) and the MTD connection to HMRC are configured and checked before your first return.
Yes — almost all QuickBooks work is done over screen-share, anywhere in the UK. Derby-area clients are welcome to train at the Sadler Gate office.
